How to obtain a license for lease services?
Obtainment of a leasing license consists of two key stages:

Inclusion in the register of the NBU. The stage provides inclusion of an applicant company in one of two registers - the register of financial institutions or the register of legal entities that are not financial companies, but have the right to provide certain financial services under the law (the only type of financial services is financial leasing).

Obtainment of a license from the NBU.

Electronic reporting of a lessor
From the beginning of 2018, a new reporting procedure for lessors and financial companies came into force. The deadlines for submitting reports have been preserved, however, leasing companies must submit reports in electronic form up to date.

- obtaining a login password for access to the electronic reporting system of the NBU;
- obtaining electronic keys to a head and an accountant (if available) to sign statements.
It should be noted that paper reporting is no longer accepted and there are many cases, where due to submission of reports in improper form (reports were planned for submission in paper form, but were not accepted and an applicant did not have enough time to obtain keys and login / password), owners of leasing licenses had to pay quite significant fines.

Answers to frequently asked questions
No, it is not enough. In the past, before the current license conditions were accepted, the provision of financial leasing services based on a registration certificate (inclusion in the register) was possible. Today, an inclusion in the register is only one of the stages of obtaining a finance license.
