It often happens that a foreigner, who came to Ukraine and obtained a Temporary Residence Permit here, wants to bring one of the relatives to Ukraine. Then the question arises: How to do it correctly, and what does a foreign relative need to be able to stay in Ukraine legally?

There is a list of grounds, which provide foreigners with the possibility of getting a temporary or permanent residence permit in Ukraine. You can find a full list of the grounds here. One of the grounds is that one of the family members has the right to reside in Ukraine (citizenship, permanent or temporary residence permit).

This permit allows a foreigner to stay legally on the territory of Ukraine and travel to and from Ukraine repeatedly. It is issued for up to 1 year with the possibility of extension for an unlimited number of times, but only if the receiving party extends the validity of the visa.

Today we will describe in detail the procedure of obtaining a visa on the basis of family reunification, and elaborate on the important nuances that you should take into account when applying for a visa on this basis.
