Before the start of a full-scale war, there was a practice of Ukrainian citizens moving to Russia and vice versa. A large number of our citizens traveled to Russia for a certain period of time, for example, to fetch a loved one or visit their living relatives. Such persons even applied for Russian citizenship. However, with the beginning of military aggression towards Ukraine, many of them wanted to return to Ukraine and try to regain Ukrainian citizenship.
