The first and most important question is who exactly can obtain a residence permit in Ukraine on this basis?

The main criteria required by the law of Ukraine include:

  • A person must be in Ukraine legally, for example, have a C-type visa. If a foreigner is a citizen of the country with which Ukraine has visa-free regime - on the basis of entry to Ukraine, not exceeding the allowable period of stay;

  • A person must have a valid foreign passport document;

  • The person must have family ties with a citizen of Ukraine of the indicated degree of kinship, as well as documents to confirm this.

  • birth certificates of the host party with a translation;

  • birth certificates of one of the parents, whose parents are the grandparents of the receiving party;

4) for brothers and sisters, we need the original birth certificates of the host and the invited party, including translation, as well as originals or certified copies of the parents’ passport documents with their translation.
