Protection of low-income and socially vulnerable groups

Our key activity that is oriented on representation of individuals is the firm’s project on protection of retirees with “Chernobyl pensions”, “children of war” and those who have lost their breadwinner.

Being basically an offshoot of our firm’s litigation practice, this activity was separated in a distinct project because of the following reasons:

  • It unites more than a thousand Clients and covers several Ukrainian regions: Kiev, Chernigov, Odessa, Rivne, Zhytomyr regions and the city of Kiev;
  • It required systematic and legally prudent approach based on the fact that the respondent is a state (state authorities).

Unlike majority of similar services provided on Ukrainian legal market our firm has organized a comprehensive servicing for the listed categories of individuals.

We are working not only in a field of administrative process that limits our ability to influence the recalculation process of social payments to the six-month period but we have also worked out the definite legal position that allows to request recovery of non-received funds starting from 2002.

Contractual relationships established within the project allow our Clients to receive advices at any time and have the promising perspective: we analyze current legislation changes that deal with the unprotected citizens categories social protection. The affordable pricing policy in these relations allows our Clients to take advantage of our services on family, labor and inheritance law matters as well.

We expected that firm’s activities within the project will result in the form of a new law enforcement practice since several dozens of lawsuits on which the negative decisions were received from domestic courts of all levels have been taken into consideration by the European Court of Human Rights after our complaints had been stated.
