Setting Up Contract Operations: A System Instead of One Template
Many companies initiate contract drafting with the request: "We need a standard agreement." A lawyer prepares the document, both parties sign it, but during the execution phase, employees default to old habits: a manager alters deadlines via messaging apps, a technician performs work without a checklist, and acceptance acts are delivered to the counterparty weeks late.
The issue arises when a buyer refuses to sign documents or release the final payment. Even a well-drafted contract cannot automatically salvage the situation if the company fails to demonstrate who performed the obligations, as well as when and to what extent they were fulfilled.
